Johnson Controls sought to build a system of global templates to be leveraged by their global battery brands such as Optima, Varta, Heliar, LTH, PowerFrame, etc. Additionally, these new sites would add ecommerce capability as well as new product widgets such as a battery finder. All solutions needed to work for all markets.
I created in-depth site maps to evaluate all existing disparate content and identify what content was shared across all of the websites, what would need to be added and where it would best reside. Following this exercise, I worked with Creative and Technology to wireframe templates (including e-commerce capability) that could be used globally but still account for the unique branding and content needs of each market.
